Jan Davis and her husband are no strangers to the Godly discipleship found in this verse. It's one of just many reasons we're pleased to welcome Jan as our receptionist and marketing assistant.
Jan grew up in Colorado and is the youngest of four children. She and her husband met in college and have been best friends and married for 25 years. They have two beautiful daughters currently attending a Christian university.
Jan graduated with her bachelor’s degree in art and obtained her Colorado Elementary teaching license. They originally put their school age kids in a public school. “We quickly learned just how opposed to our faith the policies and procedures in the public system were, and began researching what homeschooling would look like,” Jan shares.
At this point, she discovered a multitude of homeschooling support in the area. With the direction of the Lord, they began their homeschool journey.
“We’ve seen the fruit that is born from decades of investment as we poured into our children’s spiritual, academic, emotional, and physical needs,” Jan says. “There were challenging aspects, and a great deal of preparation involved, but the rewards are eternal.”
After their youngest graduated from homeschool, Jan says her purpose changed. She knew she wanted to continue in ministry and education.
"Rock Solid Christian Academy is a place where I'm able to apply my skills, experience and time, and hopefully make a positive impact here at this school. RSCA stands for Biblical truth and strives to cultivate that in children's lives. I'm pleased to be a part of such a tremendous group of sincere people. It's inspiring!"
As Jan and her husband navigate this new season of a quiet home, they enjoy spending quality time together. Jan also enjoys going for walks, journaling, reading the Bible, spending time with her cat, and being in God's creation.
Jan brings valuable skills to our school community. With her background as a homeschooler and executive assistant she is well-prepared to serve in her dual role, assisting both our administrative team and contributing to our marketing efforts. We are confident that her passion for education and dedication to our school's mission will make her a tremendous asset to our Rock Solid family.
